( This is a reboot after a QA install, on prior LIVE boot the system
ended with black screens and NO EJECT or any message thus why this live
has been reported - to file issue )
On [prior] boot of this ISO, install completed and I clicked 'reboot'
when ubuntu-desktop-installer suggested I do so (or gave me option to
continue testing)
Screens went black, and remained there >30 mins
On hitting ENTER, the box does reboot; but no instruction appears on screen to
tell user to press enter.
This issue maybe hardware (graphics) related but the reboot message is
not written on screen. It's been filed before (isn't new) and reported
as FIX RELEASE on prior bugs, but issue remains on Xubuntu ISOs
There is a ctrl+Alt+Fn combination that if pressed will cause the
message to be viewable (from memory; I didn't try that on prior boot),
but pure black monitors (two displays on this box) aren't telling users
to try keys like that.
This only impacts user experience (ie. they're wasting time), as actual
install was not impacted.
