Apologies for the late reply. You can manually install recent kernels through apt, to list available kernels run: apt-cache search linux-image | grep generic
To install a kernel you'll need to install the linux-image-* and the corresponding linux-modules-* package. For example: sudo apt install linux-image-7.0.0-31-generic linux-modules-7.0.0-31-generic When you boot grub will give you the option of which kernel you want to use. You can always check which kernel you're running with: uname -r Testing older versions of linux-firmware is more difficult, as recent versions aren't kept in the package repositories. To find all the linux-firmware releases go here: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware and then click on your series, then under 'binary packages' select your architecture, then click on the version you want to try on the left, and then you can download the .deb file, which you can install with apt: sudo apt install <deb_name>.deb -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2169388 Title: ThinkBook 16 G8 IAL (21SK): s2idle suspend/resume loop after lid close, wake IRQ 9 (ACPI GPE 0x6D), ~20%/h battery drain To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2169388/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
