Am I right that you want to have https://launchpad.net/~canonical-
kernel-team/+archive/ubuntu/crash-makedumpfile sponsored and that there
is no git-ubuntu or debdiff?
The version in this PPA do a rebuild of makedumpfile 1:1.7.7-1 and crash
9.0.2+~16.3-1 but those versions include more than just the update to
the new upstream version. For example:
* d/control:
- Bump Standards-Version to 4.7.4
- Remove redundant priority field
These kind of changes shouldn't be backported. It is normally better to
just do the minimal needed change. So I would expect a crash
9.0.2+~16.3-0ubuntu1.XX.YY.1 version that states all needed changes.
resolute already has makedumpfile 1:1.7.7-1. So I do not see a reason
why we should rebuild it.
