Followed test plan on a PC. For both noble and jammy, attempt to install current archive package failed. Enabled proposed on each, and the proposed package installed cleanly. Noted that in each case the second successful installation provoked a rebuild of initramfs, rebooted both VMs, both came back up successfully.
