Thanks, Andreas. Regarding additional tests: autopkgtest should cover the most basic usage to make sure we did not completely broke the package. The affected users verification on the bug should confirm containerd is still functional in more complex use cases. I am unsure if we should test anything else, and what that could be given the code changed is dealing with a specific error codepath.
