Public bug reported:

**Title:** Dell Latitude 7450 (Meteor Lake, OV02E10): built-in camera
not working on 26.04 — USBIO DKMS gpio driver lacks INTC10D1, sensor
fails to power on

---

### Summary

The built-in MIPI camera (IPU6 + OV02E10) on a Dell Latitude 7450 does
not work on Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS with the generic kernel. There are two
problems:

1. The `linux-modules-usbio` DKMS `gpio-usbio` driver does not match ACPI ID
`INTC10D1`, so `int3472-discrete` never finds the camera power GPIO chip and
the sensor is never probed.
2. Forcing the in-tree USBIO drivers (which do match `INTC10D1`) gets further,
but the sensor still fails to probe with `-121`, apparently because
`int3472-discrete` does not support GPIO type `0x02` used by this platform.

### System

- Machine: Dell Latitude 7450, SKU 0CC1
- BIOS: 1.13.0 (2025-02-26)
- Release: Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS (upgraded from 24.04 OEM image)
- Kernel: 7.0.0-38-generic
- Camera: Intel Meteor Lake IPU6 (PCI 00:05.0), sensor OV02E10 (ACPI
`OVTI02E1:00`)
- USBIO bridge: USB `2ac1:20c9` (SLS Lattice AI USB 2.0)

### Issue 1: DKMS gpio-usbio does not match INTC10D1

Two copies of the USBIO drivers are installed for 7.0.0-38-generic:

- `ubuntu/dkms/usbio/gpio-usbio.ko.zst` (from
`linux-main-modules-usbio-7.0.0-38-generic`): ACPI IDs `INTC1007 INTC10B2
INTC10B5 INTC10E2`
- `kernel/drivers/gpio/gpio-usbio.ko.zst` (in-tree): ACPI IDs `INTC1007
INTC10B2 INTC10B5 INTC10D1 INTC10E2`

Because of `search updates ubuntu built-in` in
`/etc/depmod.d/ubuntu.conf`, the DKMS copy is loaded. The resulting GPIO
chip has no ACPI companion, and the kernel log repeats:

```
int3472-discrete INT3472:01: cannot find GPIO chip INTC10D1:00, deferring
int3472-discrete INT3472:0c: cannot find GPIO chip INTC10D1:00, deferring
```

The sensor I2C device is never created. libcamhal falls back to the
AR0234 profile and v4l2-relayd logs:

```
CamHAL[ERR] Stream config is not supported. format:V4L2_PIX_FMT_NV12 (1920x1080)
CamHAL[ERR] @configure, analyzeStream failed
```

The same problem exists in `linux-modules-usbio-oem-26.04` (7.0.0-1015):
its DKMS `gpio-usbio` also lacks `INTC10D1`.

### Issue 2: sensor fails to power on with in-tree USBIO drivers

With a depmod override preferring the in-tree drivers:

```
override usbio * kernel/drivers/usb/misc
override gpio-usbio * kernel/drivers/gpio
override i2c-usbio * kernel/drivers/i2c/busses
```

the GPIO chip is found and the sensor is probed, but fails:

```
gpio_usbio.usbio-gpio usbio.usbio-gpio.0: [Firmware Bug]: GPIO 5 is not in FW
pins bitmap
int3472-discrete INT3472:0c: GPIO type 0x02 unknown; the sensor may not work
ov02e10 i2c-OVTI02E1:00: failed to write reg 253 val 0
ov02e10 i2c-OVTI02E1:00: failed to find sensor: -121
ov02e10 i2c-OVTI02E1:00: probe with driver ov02e10 failed with error -121
```

The sensor does not ACK on I2C, which suggests it is not powered or
released from reset because GPIO type `0x02` is not handled.

### Additional notes

- `linux-oem-26.04` (7.0.0-1015-oem) was also tested. It shows Issue 1 as well,
and there is no `v4l2loopback` module for the OEM flavour, so `v4l2-relayd`
fails to start (`start-limit-hit`).
- `oem-somerville-oddish-meta` is still the 24.04 version after the upgrade and
depends on `linux-generic-hwe-24.04`.

### Expected

The built-in camera works out of the box on 26.04, as the machine is
Ubuntu-certified.

### Steps to reproduce

1. Install or upgrade to Ubuntu 26.04.1 on a Dell Latitude 7450 (Meteor Lake,
OV02E10).
2. Open the Camera app, or run `gst-launch-1.0 v4l2src device=/dev/video0 !
videoconvert ! autovideosink`.
3. No image. See the kernel log for the `INTC10D1` deferral messages.
