I have the same problem after upgrading from Kubuntu Feisty to Gutsy. I
had been playing around with booting different kernels and noticed this
error with kernel 2.6.22. It didn't seem to happen with earlier
kernels.
uname -a:
Linux kpas1 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Tue Dec 18 05:28:27 UTC 2007 x86_64
GNU/Linux
dmesg is full of messages like:
[92398.106010] ide: failed opcode was: unknown
[92398.106014] hda: drive not ready for command

DataRequest }
