I think I got something! The dongle works in the *installer* (kernel 7.0.0-30). The dongle did NOT work in the installed system after reboot (7.0.0-33).
By now, when doing a new install, the updated kernel is 7.0.0-38. I do not see the crash trace in dmesg. But there is still no link.
