I've built the "42" kernel from git and confirmed it indeed fixes the bug.
Just FYI, there is no linux/7.0.0-42.42 in resolute-proposed. First of all, the link doesn't work (not the link itself, but the link where the moved wiki is supposed to be doesn't load). On top of that, activating the proposed repo in the APT-sources does not offer any "42"-kernel. The most recent I can get is "38". This is also the case in this proposed-kernel-PPA: https://launchpad.net/~canonical-kernel- team/+archive/ubuntu/proposed?field.series_filter=resolute I don't have a problem with building a kernel myself, but the instructions imply that there is already a built package, which doesn't seem to be the case. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2169736 Title: RTC device disappears after updating to 7.0.0-39-generic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2169736/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
