- stonking: shares the 1.28.7-1build1 base with tenacious, so it must go in as
1.28.7-1ubuntu0.26.10.1. That sorts newer than tenacious itself, so the
upgrade-path check rejects it until tenacious has 1.28.8. The 1.28.8-1 sync
from Debian is in tenacious-proposed unapproved (pre-release freeze). Once it
publishes I will upload stonking and set the
tenacious task Fix Released by hand; the sync does not link this bug.
- tenacious: gets the fix via that sync, no Ubuntu delta needed.
Testing (Testflinger, archive vs candidate build, same board each run):
- Genio 1200 EVK, noble: archive 1.24.2-1ubuntu1.8 reproduces the bug.
v4l2jpegenc gets a 262144 byte buffer at every size; 4K fails, noise input
fails at 720p/1080p/4K. The 1.24.2-1ubuntu1.9 build sizes the buffer by
resolution (8294400 at 4K) and everything passes, including the YUV422M decode
cases from bug #2171400. No kernel errors. Note the Genio vendor image already
carries this patch as 1.24.2-1ubuntu1.8+mtk1, so the next archive security
update would supersede it and silently drop the fix unless it lands here.
- Pi 4, all three series: no difference archive vs candidate. JPEG encode fine.
v4l2h264dec decodes 60/60 frames of a near-lossless 1080p stream (~3.4 MB per
frame, larger than the new 2 MB input buffer) in both.
