Thanks for this bug report. Since this really sounds like a hardware
failure rather than a genuine bug, can you provide these informations?
1. Are you able to start glxgears and let it turn for a hour or your computer
automatically reboot?
2. Can you describe exactly what do you mean by "restart"? Does your computer
switch right to the BIOS screen and boot again? Or you see ubuntu rebooting
like if you were rebooting it manually?
3. Can you give us the result of that command typed in a terminal : lspci -nn |
grep VGA
4. Can you give us the result of that command typed in a terminal : cat
/etc/X11/xorg.conf | grep -A 4 'Section "Device"'
