This issue is in the kernel driver snd_hda_intel (DMA position handling of the HDA HDMI controller), not in userspace alsa-lib/alsa-driver. Could this please be reassigned to the 'linux' source package? Full measurements, kernel comparison and a workaround (snoop=0) are in the description.
