This bug was fixed in the package pmix - 6.1.1~rc2-5ubuntu1

pmix (6.1.1~rc2-5ubuntu1) stonking; urgency=medium
* debian/rules: flatten the pypmix egg directory when setuptools
creates one, the python module was not importable since the Debian
removal of the mv workaround which is still needed with the
setuptools version in Ubuntu (lp: #2169938)
The delta can be dropped once Ubuntu has the newer setuptools
(84 in Debian) which installs the module directly.
