Same problem on Acer TM8204, Intel Centrino Duo. The fan starts at maximum
speed after 10 minutes of use and then won't stop until shutdown or reboot. No
matter of CPU utilization or AC/battery power.
/proc/acpi/fan/ is empty, CPU throttling seems not to do anything:
# acpi -t
