Public bug reported: after upgrading from 26.04 to 26.10 Stonking, Software Updater would frequently give "failed to download repository information, check internet connection" type of errors. Clicking through "ok" would still give some updates. I did not have this problem in 26.04.

Updates for this repository will not be applied ------- Solution: sudo sed -i 's|http://no.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/|http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/|g' /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ubuntu.sources Result: sudo apt update -> ... 37 packages can be upgraded. Run 'apt list --upgradable' to see them. -------- GUI Software Updater works without complaint, immediately got 21 system updates + various language pack updates. I seems i got Stonking with a bad mirror address in apt sources. Distro upgrade was done very soon after release with do release-upgrade -d, don't know if that could be related but if so, the mirror should have started working now.
