Hi, I created https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ca-
certificates/+bug/2171995. Noticing the age of this report has me
wondering, how long have updates to the certificate store for Java on
Ubuntu been broken?

I've found this to be an effective workaround for fixing up the store, maybe
more effective than what's recommended in the blog post since this doesn't
delete locally added certs:
sudo dpkg-trigger --no-await update-ca-certificates-java-fresh
sudo dpkg --triggers-only --pending
