Public bug reported:

The gedit snap (48.1, revisions 697 on stable and 701 on candidate) does not
start. It exits with code 127:

/snap/gedit/701/usr/bin/gedit: error while loading shared libraries:
libpeas-gtk-1.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or
directory

Also printed (probably a side effect):
libpxbackend-1.0.so: cannot open shared object file
    Failed to load module: .../gio-modules/libgiolibproxy.so

  Analysis:
  - base: core24, content plug default-provider: gnome-46-2404
  - gnome-46-2404 (rev 177) only ships libpeas-gtk-1.0.so.1 (1.38.1),
while gedit is linked against libpeas-gtk-1.0.so.0.
  - `snap connections gedit` shows the gnome-46-2404 content interface
connected, so this is not a connection problem.
  - Removing and reinstalling gedit gives the same revision and the same error.

  Steps to reproduce:
  1. snap install gedit
  2. gedit

  Expected: gedit starts.
Actual: exits with the error above.

  System: Ubuntu, kernel 7.0.0-38-generic, x86_64
  >snap version
  snap 2.77.1+ubuntu26.04.2
  snapd 2.77.1+ubuntu26.04.2
  series 16
  ubuntu 26.04
  kernel 7.0.0-38-generic
  architecture amd64
