Another concrete defect in the packaged 2.46.0, separate from the API deprecation breakage. gh cannot read its token from KeePassXC's Secret Service when confirm-on-retrieve is on. It fails in about 30 ms with "no oauth token found" and shows no prompt. The cause is in the go-keyring library at 0.2.4, which both Debian and Ubuntu package. Details and a one-commit fix are in bug 2172205, and the Debian bug is https://bugs.debian.org/1152144.
If the outcome here is a gh update, that fixes this too, so please keep 2172205 in mind when deciding. ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #1152144 https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1152144 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2132360 Title: `gh` package is significantly lagging behind official versions, broken due to GitHub API deprecations To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gh/+bug/2132360/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
