Still present on 7.0.0-38-generic (Ubuntu 26.04, nvidia-driver-595-open,
ASUS ROG STRIX B450-E). Fires once per VDO activation at boot; both VDO
volumes start and work normally.
Note: the patch linked in the description ("mm: allow __GFP_RETRY_MAYFAIL
in vmalloc", Mikulas Patocka) was dropped from -mm in favour of Michal
Hocko's "vmalloc: support __GFP_RETRY_MAYFAIL and __GFP_NORETRY", merged
into mm-stable 2026-03-24 (page tables allocated with scoped NOWAIT
semantics). Please consider backporting that commit to the 7.0 kernel.
