Hello, upstream maintainer here. I am answering because the Ubuntu/Debian maintainer Jonathan W. does not take care of things like that.
BIT 1.4.3 (currently in the community repo "universe" of Ubuntu24) is using Qt5. BIT 1.6.* is using Qt6. I don't see how this might be possible. Be aware that Canonical does not support Back In Time. "LTS" is a marketing lie because it accounts only for the "main" repo but not for the "universe" repo. BIT exists in the later one. https://github.com/bit-team/backintime/blob/dev/FAQ.md#is-bit-really- not-supported-by-canonical-ubuntu If you need a stable OS and an up to date BIT I recommend to use Debian GNU/Linux. ** Changed in: backintime (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2171334 Title: Back In Time 1.6.1 backport requested for Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (Noble) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/backintime/+bug/2171334/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
