Lightning is a desktop messenger for Matrix, the open network for secure,
decentralised communication. It is written in C++ and Qt 6 and uses the
official Matrix Rust SDK for networking and end-to-end encryption.
Features include several accounts at once, Spaces, rooms and threads,
end-to-end encrypted rooms with device verification and key backup, a local
search index that never leaves the computer, and group voice calls and
screen sharing built on GStreamer.
