Here is Ubuntu's page for this CVE, showing which of their kernel versions they have backported my fix into: https://ubuntu.com/security/CVE-2026-80574
My laptop running Ubuntu 26.04 LTS upgraded to kernel 7.0.0-42 today, which does indeed seem to be fixed, whereas previously I ran 7.0.0-38 which still had the bug. Looking at the Ubuntu kernel sources, I believe this was actually fixed in Ubuntu kernels 7.0.0-39 and higher, but 7.0.0-42 is the first of those to released beyond "Proposed". ** CVE added: https://cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2026-80574 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2125250 Title: UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds in /build/linux-1ylo5V/linux-6.8.0/drivers/input/mouse/focaltech.c:221:17 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2125250/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
