Public bug reported:

When a shutdown or reboot is scheduled, the confirmation message shows a
date in 1969 instead of the actual scheduled time.

Steps to reproduce:
$ shutdown 0 -r
Reboot scheduled for Wed 1969-12-31 23:11:06 PST, use 'shutdown -c' to cancel.
$ shutdown -c
$ shutdown 0
Shutdown scheduled for Wed 1969-12-31 23:11:18 PST, use 'shutdown -c' to cancel.

Expected: the scheduled time printed as the current wall-clock time
(here, Thu 2026-10-29 23:48 PDT).

Actual: the printed time looks like CLOCK_MONOTONIC formatted as a
calendar date. Reading CLOCK_MONOTONIC moments later and formatting it
with localtime() gave "1969-12-31 23:11:42 PST", and the two messages
above advance by the same 12 seconds that elapsed between the commands.
The system clock itself is correct (timedatectl shows the right local
and UTC time).
