[Impact]
AMD embedded boards with an ACP 7.x audio coprocessor and an Analog
Devices ADAU1761 codec described in ACPI have no working audio. The
ADAU1761 codec driver cannot bind to the ACPI device, and the AMD ACP
machine driver does not support this codec, so no sound card is
registered.
[Fix]
Add an ACPI match table to the ADAU1761 I2C codec driver, and add
ADAU1761 support and an ACP 7.0 board entry to the AMD ACP legacy
machine driver.
[Test Plan]
On an ACP 7.x board whose firmware exposes the ADAU1761 ACPI device,
verify that the acp70-adau1761 sound card is registered, and test
playback, capture and suspend/resume. Smoke-test audio on other AMD ACP
platforms.
[Where problems could occur]
The changes are limited to the AMD ACP machine drivers and the
ADAU1761 codec driver. The new board is selected only for the
"ADAU1761" ACPI ID. A regression could affect audio on other ACP 7.x
platforms using the legacy machine driver.
