Public bug reported:
One of my mice goes to sleep winthin seconds, only waking after one of the
buttons has been pressed.
Sleep means that the lights (including the optical sensor) turn off and the
mouse no longer responds to movement or scrolling until a button has been
pressed.
The bug is related to the following upgrade:
Upgrade libnss-systemd:amd64 (259.5-0ubuntu3.4 -> 259.9-0ubuntu0.1)
Upgrade libpam-systemd:amd64 (259.5-0ubuntu3.4 -> 259.9-0ubuntu0.1)
Upgrade libsystemd-shared:amd64 (259.5-0ubuntu3.4 -> 259.9-0ubuntu0.1)
Upgrade libsystemd0:amd64 (259.5-0ubuntu3.4 -> 259.9-0ubuntu0.1)
Upgrade libsystemd0:i386 (259.5-0ubuntu3.4 -> 259.9-0ubuntu0.1)
Upgrade libudev1:amd64 (259.5-0ubuntu3.4 -> 259.9-0ubuntu0.1)
Upgrade libudev1:i386 (259.5-0ubuntu3.4 -> 259.9-0ubuntu0.1)
Upgrade systemd-cryptsetup:amd64 (259.5-0ubuntu3.4 -> 259.9-0ubuntu0.1)
Upgrade systemd-oomd:amd64 (259.5-0ubuntu3.4 -> 259.9-0ubuntu0.1)
Upgrade systemd-resolved:amd64 (259.5-0ubuntu3.4 -> 259.9-0ubuntu0.1)
Upgrade systemd-sysv:amd64 (259.5-0ubuntu3.4 -> 259.9-0ubuntu0.1)
Upgrade systemd-timesyncd:amd64 (259.5-0ubuntu3.4 -> 259.9-0ubuntu0.1)
Upgrade systemd:amd64 (259.5-0ubuntu3.4 -> 259.9-0ubuntu0.1)
Upgrade udev:amd64 (259.5-0ubuntu3.4 -> 259.9-0ubuntu0.1)
Behaviour occurs after upgrade + system restart, ends after downgrade +
system restart (reproducible).
The affected mouse is a vertical mouse with programmable buttons. The mouse
worked properly prior to the upgrade and still works properly with a Windows
system.
Another mouse (regular, no programmable/extra buttons) is not affected by the
sleep issue.
