Public bug reported:

 [Impact]
resolute/linux-raspi 7.0.0-1023.23 fails to build after the rebase onto
the 7.0.0-43.43 parent for two independent reasons:

  1. drivers/pps/clients/pps-gpio.c: upstream commit b899e0279f90
("pps-gpio: remove dead capture_clear code"), now in the parent, removed
the capture_clear field and the PPS_CAPTURECLEAR handling that the raspi
commit "added capture_clear option to pps-gpio via dtoverlay (#2433)"
sets, so the raspi commit no longer compiles.

  2. drivers/gpu/drm/v3d/v3d_submit.c: the parent's backport of upstream
     57df8fa619c7 ("drm/v3d: Introduce struct v3d_submit and convert
     CL/TFU/CSD ioctls") uses v3d_stats_get() and job->client_stats /
job->global_stats, which are introduced by upstream commits
0b2a4569cd9f, 266d4ba30d6a and 745cc3f92a4b that were not backported.
The generic kernel does not build v3d, so it goes unnoticed there.

  [Fix]
Revert the pps-gpio capture_clear commit, as Raspberry Pi did in
  rpi-7.2.y (26560fb91112), and cherry-pick the three upstream v3d stats
  commits that rpi-7.2.y also carries:
drm/v3d: Use raw seqcount helpers instead of fighting with lockdep
    drm/v3d: Refcount v3d_stats
drm/v3d: Hold v3d_stats references in each job

  [Test]
Native arm64 build on cbd succeeds.

  [Regression potential]
Limited to the raspi flavours. The pps-gpio change drops the capture-clear
DT option, which upstream already treated as dead code. The v3d commits are
upstream and only add reference counting around the existing stats.

** Affects: linux-raspi (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
