Public bug reported:

Regression confirmed by A/B test on identical hardware:
kernel 7.0.0-38 works perfectly, 7.0.0-42 fails consistently.

Hardware: Acer Aspire A315-54
Bluetooth ID 04ca:3015: Qualcomm, HCI 4.2, USB bus (hci0), BD_ADDR
a4:63:a1:24:ac:da
WiFi/BT combo chip: Qualcomm QCA9377 (ath10k_pci 0000:01:00.0)
Controller: Sony DualShock 4 (054C:09CC), hw_version=0x0000b408,
fw_version=0x0000a00a, connected via Bluetooth
Kernel affected: 7.0.0-42-generic
Kernel working: 7.0.0-38-generic

Symptom:
After upgrading from 7.0.0-38 to 7.0.0-42, the DualShock 4 over Bluetooth
shows severe input lag and stuck inputs (character keeps moving in one
direction, attacks repeat without release). Occurs in 100% of gaming
sessions, typically within 5-10 minutes of connecting. The same controller
works perfectly over USB on both kernels.

Relevant dmesg on 7.0.0-42:

Bluetooth: Unexpected start frame (len 83)
Bluetooth: Frame is too long (len 83, expected len 81)
playstation 0005:054C:09CC.0006: DualShock4 input CRC's check failed
playstation 0005:054C:09CC.0005: unknown main item tag 0x0

Note: the machine uses Ethernet only; WiFi is not connected, but the
QCA9377 combo chip still reports PCIe correctable errors:
ath10k_pci 0000:01:00.0: PCIe Bus Error: severity=Correctable,
type=Physical Layer, [8] Rollover, [12] Timeout

Steps to reproduce:
1. Boot kernel 7.0.0-42
2. Pair DualShock 4 via Bluetooth
3. Open any game (tested with Ravenswatch on Steam)
4. Observe input lag and stuck inputs within minutes

Already ruled out:
- btusb autosuspend (disabled via modprobe.d, no change)
- Bluetooth link policy SNIFF (cleared via hcitool, no change)
- Steam Input (same behavior with it on and off)
- Reloading hid_playstation module (no change)
- Re-pairing the controller (temporary fix only, bug returns)
- WiFi interference (machine uses Ethernet only)
