I can confirm this bug on a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 8 (Wacom AES pen, 056a:5308), Ubuntu 26.04, mutter 50.1-0ubuntu2.5: after the pen leaves proximity, a pen cursor reappears at (0,0) on every focus change (Super, launching an app from the dock). libinput shows a correct PROXIMITY_OUT and no further events, so this is a mutter issue.
I tested the fix from the merge proposal (https://code.launchpad.net/~tony-s/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+git/mutter/+merge/513212): I rebuilt 50.1-0ubuntu2.5 with only the upstream commit b8c52af306 ("clutter: Avoid repicking sprites without an actor", functionally identical to the patch in the MP) added on top. Results: - The full build-time test suite passes (177 OK, 5 expected fail, 0 fail). - Following the test plan, the stray pen cursor no longer appears after lifting the pen and pressing Super or launching an app from the dock. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2164838 Title: wacom touchpad mouse gets stuck in corner when not used directly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mutter/+bug/2164838/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
