Public bug reported:
I just upgraded from Ubuntu 24.04 LTS to 26.04 LTS.
Before the update, i had no problems with resizing a window using
Alt+RightDrag somewhere inside the window (not the border). This is
similar to Alt+LeftDrag which moves the window. (RightDrag = Press, hold
and move the right mouse button)
After the update, the function still works in all other applications BUT NOT
always in vlc. in vlc, when i try this function inside the video screen the
popup menu appears. when i release the button in the wrong moment, i even start
the selected action accidently.
If the popup is already open when i try the right drag, it works (while the
popup disappears)
For me, it's clearly a difference how/when vlc catches the mouse event.
I never had an application before which wasn't resizable this way.
watch the attached video, it shows the drag and resize actions first on
a mousepad window (works) and then on vlc, where moving works but
dragging is a real pain.
