Hi there! Thanks for taking a look at my case. Back when I ran into this bug right after buying my laptop, I had Ubuntu 20.04 installed. At the time, Kai- Heng Feng looked into my issue and tested several fixes until he shared a custom kernel that worked.

I’m currently running Ubuntu 26.04, but before making the jump, I tried several older Ubuntu releases—as well as Linux Mint and Fedora. The touchpad wasn't detected in any of them. If it helps, I can share the custom kernel he sent me back then. I’m pretty sure it’s the one that fixes the issue! I ran sudo apport-collect 2171571 and the following message appeared: Package linux-signed-hwe-7.0 not installed and no hook available, ignoring Thanks again! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2171571 Title: Touchpad ELAN062F not detected on Lenovo ThinkBook 15-IML: i2c_hid_acpi fails with -121 (EREMOTEIO) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-signed-hwe-7.0/+bug/2171571/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
