Confirmed the carrier path on one of these hosts, 255.4-1ubuntu8.18, without restarting networkd. networkd had last been restarted, and the route had since been deleted and added again outside networkd, so its tracked route had no MTU. Before the test the host held one route: "default via <gateway> dev bond0 proto static mtu 1500".
We set the bond's only member down for 2 seconds. The bond was without carrier for 5.4 s. networkd logged "bond0: Gained carrier" at 06:17:29.593877 UTC, and "ip -ts monitor route" showed "default via <gateway> dev bond0 proto static", with no MTU and no removal, at 06:17:29.594250. Afterwards the host held both routes, the clamped one first. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2167098 Title: IPv4 route MTUs silently dropped after networkd restart / networkctl reconfigure / netplan apply To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/2167098/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
