@hofstaettermait I suggest we track the failure you reported in the other related bug [1], since it seems to be another example of the same disconnected path problem reported there, and the simple `attach_disconnected` solution doesn't seem to be recommended. The bug here will remain concerned with the permissions issue, unless a reviewer has a different preference. I'll add a comment with your context and mine to [1]. Thanks again!
