Summary
When typing in the search field of plasma-emojier, characters appear seconds
after they are typed.

Steps to reproduce
1. Launch plasma-emojier (from the application menu or with `plasma-emojier` in
a terminal).
2. Click in the search field and type a word such as "robot".
3. Observe that the characters appear on screen seconds after they are typed,
while a search is executed for every new character.
4. Same observation when pressing backspace to delete characters. That makes it
almost impossible to type.
Expected result
Characters appear immediately as they are typed, as they do in other search
fields. Search should not freeze the input.
Actual result
Input is delayed up to seconds. The delay persists when the application is
started from a terminal.
Troubleshooting so far
- `QT_QUICK_BACKEND=software plasma-emojier`: lag still present
- `top` during the lag: CPU spikes up to 100% while typing in the
plasma-emojier search bar
