Binary package hint: gdm
Hello,
Here is my problem. We have tens of desktop computers with Ubuntu 7.10
installed on them.
Since a few weeks, when we try to connect to a server with XDMCP (after having
chosen
"Actions > Remote login via XDMCP..." from the gdm logging windows), the xdmcp
chooser
appears and after clicking on a remote host its fails coming back to the gdm
logging windows.
No logging window from the remote host appears.
The only thing that can have change on these desktop computers is that apt-get
update
and apt-get upgrade are made automatically.
So I've downgraded gdm from version 2.20.1-0ubuntu1 to version 2.18.1-0ubuntu1
and
xdmcp works fine again. I think that the automatically upgraded version of gdm
(2.20.1)
is buggy.
I've run gdm in debug mode and here is an extract of the daemon.log :
