Thank you for planning this fix. Could Ubuntu please prioritize backporting the upstream BIND fix (ISC #6171 / !12317, included in 9.20.26) to Ubuntu 26.04 LTS as soon as possible? This issue causes complete external DNS resolution failures with DoT forwarding, and restarting named provides only temporary relief. An estimated delivery date would be appreciated.
