Public bug reported:

I'm having to use my backup XP system to communicate this problem as the
bug will not stay out long enough for me to send this message using my
Linux system.

When I launch Firefox, I get a message box asking me to press F7 if I
want to turn Caret Browsing on or off. It doesn't matter if I press yes,
no and/or check the box that says "don't show me this message again."
The box stays on the screen and then proceeds to replicate itself many
times over. The only way out is to shut down and/or restart the computer
which then promptly gives me the Caret Browsing box again when I start
Firefox and again freezes the system.

The computer is a new Dell 530 which came preloaded with Gutsy 7.10. I'm
using a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse. Everything has been
working fine until yesterday. Because of the bug, I'm not able to get up
to the Firefox preferences to see if there is a box for Caret Browsing I
can uncheck. Any help would be much appreciated by this very frustrated
Linux lover.
