Public bug reported:
After upgrading linux-firmware-amd-graphics from 20240318.git3b128b60-0ubuntu3.3
to 20240318.git3b128b60-0ubuntu3.4, my system shows short stutters, freezes for
1-2 minutes when turning on the second monitor, and boots very slowly with the
second monitor on.
The kernel log is flooded with:
amdgpu 0000:03:00.0: [drm] *ERROR* Error queueing DMUB command: status=2
amdgpu 0000:03:00.0: [drm] *ERROR* dc_dmub_srv_log_diagnostic_data: DMCUB
error - collecting diagnostic data
Hardware: AMD Radeon RX 9070, dual monitor setup, GNOME Wayland.
Booting the older kernel 7.0.0-38 did not help (same firmware is loaded).
Downgrading linux-firmware-amd-graphics to 0ubuntu3.3 (and regenerating the
initramfs) fixes the problem completely. No DMCUB errors anymore.
So this is a regression introduced in 0ubuntu3.4.
