Thanks. I did not submit anything. Guenter Roeck posted the same change
to linux-watchdog on 2026-11-05 and has it queued in the watchdog branch
of his tree:

https://lore.kernel.org/linux-watchdog/[email protected]/
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/groeck/linux-staging.git/commit/?h=watchdog&id=ccc038fdd5a8e03969f9706d3be791a64c04b65a

"watchdog: sp5100_tco: Use release_mem_region() for EFCH MMIO resource",
Fixes: 0578fff4aae5. It is not in mainline as of 7.4-rc1 and carries no
Cc: stable tag. Could it be picked for noble and the 7.0 HWE kernel?

Attached is the complete kernel log of the affected boot
(7.0.0-42-generic, 2026-11-05). It runs from "Linux version" to the
journal stop at 304.7 s with no suppressed or dropped messages. The
hung-task warning for (udev-worker):862 is at 246.8 s with the full
stack, and it is the only hung-task report in that boot. The order in
that boot: i2c-piix4 probe at 4.73 s, SPD clients instantiated at 4.74
s, sp5100_tco initialised at 4.91 s. The log ends at the journal stop;
the shutdown that followed did not complete and the machine was reset
from a KVM. For comparison I attached the kernel log of the other
7.0.0-42 boot made under the same conditions, which came up clean:
sp5100_tco initialised at 4.70 s, i2c-piix4 probed at 4.73 s, and the
four spd5118 sensors probed. The MAC address, serial numbers, UUIDs, the
machine id and the hostname are replaced by placeholders in both files.

The machine now loads sp5100_tco before udev coldplug and deny-lists
spd5118, so it no longer shows the race; both were in place before I
filed this bug.

SPD probe)"
