Public bug reported: Please remove the stellarium armhf binary (26.2-1) from tenacious.
stellarium Why: stellarium 26.3-1 (part of the nlopt 2.11 transition) fails to build on armhf. Since Debian 26.2-2 it builds with Qt6, and Qt6's lconvert runs out of memory on the 32-bit builder while converting po/stellarium-planetary-features/ar.po (about 4.3 MB, 23,000 strings): terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc' make[3]: *** [po/stellarium-planetary-features/CMakeFiles/translations-stellarium-planetary-features.dir/build.make:152: translations/stellarium-planetary-features/ar.qm] Error 134 https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/stellarium/26.3-1/+build/33915847 (failed the same way 3 times). The last armhf build, 26.2-1build1, still used Qt5. Debian status: Debian 26.2-2 and 26.3-1 fail the same way on armhf and i386, and Debian has no armhf stellarium binaries left in testing or unstable. stellarium-data is Architecture: all and stays. $ reverse-depends -r tenacious -a armhf src:stellarium Reverse-Recommends ================== * astro-education (for stellarium) * junior-desktop (for stellarium) * junior-education (for stellarium) * ubuntu-edu-primary (for stellarium) * ubuntu-edu-secondary (for stellarium) * ubuntu-edu-tertiary (for stellarium) $ reverse-depends -r tenacious -b -a armhf src:stellarium Reverse-Build-Depends ===================== * pysatellites (for stellarium-data) None of them blocks the removal: the edu metapackages only recommend stellarium, and pysatellites build-depends on stellarium-data, which stays. ** Affects: stellarium (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Fix Released ** Changed in: stellarium (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2173624 Title: Remove stellarium armhf binary from tenacious To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/stellarium/+bug/2173624/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
