Public bug reported:
Icons are disappearing everywhere—like ghosts. Portmaster was showing
red, then green after a restart. I ran a scan using ClamUI and a
Kaspersky Rescue Disk on a USB stick; no viruses or spyware were found.
Power consumption has shot up significantly—by about 20W to 40W. It’s as
if the power-saving mode has stopped working. It happened to me 5. I
restart the PC. Then the image appears. It's black. BUT it happens I set
it to 2k. I have it set to full hd. And to 4k. Everything works without
any problems. Only with 2k settings. Then after restart. On the hard
drive. Set to 2k. It shows a black image. It doesn't even show a test.
Nothing at all. Just a black image. And after 10 minutes. Also a black
image. That happened to me with 5. I didn't have 2k settings. Only 3
happened. A total of 5 happened. Then formatted.I didn't observe this
with 100% certainty. I wonder if updates might be the cause—there have
been quite a few of them. I’m not sure if any specific update is to
blame. It’s not Stacer or BleachBit, either. According to the crash
process viewer, Stacer is crashing—specifically, a "virtual disk"
issue. It has trouble finding updates or connecting to the internet.
