Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.24

When pressing more then one key on the keyboard (usb) the mouse pointer (usb)
hangs. This effect is most noticeable when doing copy&paste (Control + "c") or
pressing Ctrl + "t" (for a new tab in nautilus) but it is also present in any
situation where more then one key is pressed (i.e. alsing "a" + "b" together
hangs it). The symptoms are the following: With more then one key pressed the
mouse pointer won't move at all. When the keys are release and the mouse is
moved a bit then the mouse suddenly "jumps" the the correct position, so I
guess the events are recorded inside the kernel but not delivered correctly. I
checked /dev/input/mice with "cat" and there is no data coming when keys are
pressed, therefore my guess is that the problem is somewhere inside the kernel.
Of course als xev doesn't show any events while pressing more then one key on
the keyboard.
This bug is somewhat annoying since it gives the user a feeling of an
unresponsive system and is confusing since the pointer ends up being somewhere
on the screen after releasing the keys.

The technical details are the following:

This is a very fresh install of hardy alpha followed by an dist-upgrade.
uname -a: Linux photon 2.6.24-5-generic #1 SMP Thu Jan 24 19:29:14 UTC 2008
x86_64 GNU/Linux
