I have Ubuntu 7.10 on a Dell XPS 410n. Every couple of hours (not at
regular periods, the Internet connection dies - I'm in the middle of
typing something in SSH, and suddenly my keystrokes don't get sent over,
the screen isn't updated, I can't ping Google, etc. I then right-click
the nm-applet icon and disable then enable networking. Existing TCP
sessions resume again, after recovering from timeouts that have grown.
eth0 is my only interface.
I have never witnessed this problem before yesterday. The reason this
concerns me is because I was fortunate to be sitting at my computer
yesterday; usually I SSH in, and flaky connectivity won't do.
I have checked some previous threads, but the described issues didn't
seem to align with mine.
