Are you using the Gutsy (7.10) version, or a different version? Can you
switch to a virtual terminal after it has booted blank, using ctrl-
alt-f1? If so, please copy the files /var/log/Xorg.0.log and
/var/log/Xorg.0.log.old and attach them to this bug report.
