Public bug reported:

http://megapov.inetart.net/download.html

Hello. If one gets povray 3.6 from the package manager in ubuntu, it
works great. If however one wants to install the "Megapov" patched
version of povray, there is a problem. Megapov is not in the ubuntu
package management system that I can see with Adept. Getting Megapov
involves downloading a compressed file directly from the Megapov site,
and then running an installer. When one tries this, one gets an error
message saying that povray is not installed. I believe that the
megapov installer is looking for file X in directory Y.

My belief is that the individual choices made by the person who set up
the ubuntu installer and the megapov installer conflict. (I'm sure both
are "logical" choices, they're just incompatible.) I suspect that the
Megapov installer works great with SUSE but not with ubuntu.

Request (not a bug!)
i) put a working Megapov package on the ubuntu package installer thingy.
ii) change the choice of directories in the ubuntu installer to be in tune with
the choices of the Megapov installer.

Thanks.
Grand apologies if it is a breach of etiquette to put a feature request in the
bug reporting system. But I am at a loss of functionality. thanks.
