Public bug reported:
gcc version 4.2 in hardy segfaults when compiling this:
int main() {
return 0;
}
with this error:
$ gcc-4.2 foo.c
gcc-4.2: Internal error: Segmentation fault (program cc1)
Please submit a full bug report.
See <URL:http://gcc.gnu.org/bugs.html> for instructions.
For Debian GNU/Linux specific bug reporting instructions, see
<URL:file:///usr/share/doc/gcc-4.2/README.Bugs>.
I'd also like to point out that although I can also install gcc-4.1, gcc
doesn't seem to be managed by alternatives, so I had to change the /usr/bin/gcc
symlink by hand to use gcc-4.1...
