afaik, the only big changes concern the DVB support, which is quite buggy currently. I've been reported by testers that is was much better with this version.
Concerning the important amount of changes, they mostly come from the renaming of a lib (kaffeine-part -> xine-part) which results a big debdiff, but the code is the same The good point is I'm using it here for 2 weeks now, using it everyday, and I didn't experienced any issue with it.
