Public bug reported:
(Occurs on Ubuntu Gutsy and Hardy Heron Alpha)
Intermittently, the gnome-panel applet for "Notification Area" will not
display any of the menus of the applications that are in the
notification area upon right clicking. Instead, the applet's menu is
display (the same that is displayed when the blank space around icons is
right clicked).
This behaviour is not constant, and there appears to be no relation as
to why it happens. As stated above, this also occurs on Hardy Heron
Alpha.
This is not a critical problem, but is incredibly irritating when I wish
to access Pidgin or Fusion-Icon's menu system, and requires that the
applet to be removed to access these applications again (as the tray
catches the minimised state). This issue does not occur on every boot,
however there is no way to tell if the session that is being used will
be affected- I have only seen this occur when using a default session.
If any files are required I will upload them.
