Public bug reported:

I just updated my Ubuntu Hardy system via aptitude. Since I had just
updated last night, only 1 package was to be upgraded. However, aptitude
shows:

1 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

This should say:

1 package upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

Perhaps a piece of conditional code that prints an s on the end of
package if and only if the number of upgraded packages is not equal to 1
could solve this minor issue although this would also have to take into
account non-English languages as well.

** Affects: aptitude (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
