Public bug reported:
I'm running bash in a gnome-terminal under an up-to-date Gutsy. If I
press F3, bash goes into some sort of loop, taking up 100% of a CPU. I
can no longer type in the bash terminal, but I can use Ctrl-C to kill
the loop and return to normal text entry mode.
By playing around, I have discovered that if I press F2 before pressing
F3, then F3 will not cause this behavior. However if I run
/usr/X11R6/bin/clear, then pressing F3 will cause the hanging behavior
again.
I suppose this bug could be in bash or in gnome-terminal or in libvte9
(I see gnome-pty-helper running as a sibling to bash).
