I use an amd64 distro and I have the same problem. I wanted to see the
curve displayed with java plugin at:

http://www.boursorama.com/graphiques/graphique_histo.phtml?symbole=1rPGAZ

So I installed the j2re1.4-mozilla-plugin, created the symbolic link,
and now the curve is displayed. But when I move the mouse cursor on it,
firefox crashes.

If I launch firefox in a terminal, it tells me after the crash that an
error file is generated in my home directory (see attachement).

It's the first time I report a bug so I don't know how the ubuntu
support community is organized. That is why I'm asking: is there a
reason why this bug has stayed in the New Status for so long? Is it
because it depends only on Sun's good will or because there is nobody to
maintain this package?
